Hello Friends,

Swell and surface conditions have tidied up overnight and this morning saw 8-10 kts of westerly fanning an incoming 2 metre 11-second SE swell. Tide was high at 0645 and will be back to low at 1220. Set wave faces looked to be in the head to head and a bit range. Unlike the last few days, the beach is now looking like an approachable option if you’re feeling wary of the point. The weather call is for partly cloudy and a high of 17 with a 30% chance of a shower. Beachwatch reports that apart from lagoon entrances, the water quality at most beaches is good and ocean temp is on 19C still. Definitely a morning to hit it if you can.

The rest of the week is looking fair to maybe good for surf prospects. Tomorrow the swell’s set to dial back and there’s a gale warning for 25-35 kt of SW wind. Then Thursday the swell comes back up into the 2+ metre range as the wind continues to be strong SW. By Friday the swell is set to be dropping but still surfable as the weekend comes into view.

Go well and stay safe!
