Pumping swell, offshore and sunny skies

Hello Friends,

If you’re an experienced rider or a solid intermediate, there should be a wave for you if you look around. At 0900 conditions were clean and very good along the Manly stretch. Curly wasn’t producing the quality but around at Dee Why there was the odd intense bomb set at the point and a very consistent left out in front of the SLSC.

As of 1000 the wind was WSW at 12-19 kts, swell at sea was 3 metres and coming from the south around to the east at 10-12 sec. Tide was coming off the 0730 high and will be back to the 0.6 m low at 1300. Wind and swell should maintain roughly the same intensity across the day.

Tomorrow is looking to be offshore for the early and only a touch smaller but more southerly where the swell’s concerned than today. Same for Friday and Saturday

Weather Situation

A low pressure system offshore is deepening, with its associated trough brushing the southern and central coast today. These systems, together with a strong high pressure system over South Australia, is bringing strong to gale southwesterly winds and hazardous surf conditions across much of the coastal waters. Winds and surf conditions are expected to weaken during Thursday as the low moves away to the east, but then increase again and tend more southerly on Friday as another front moves north along the coast.
