The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 28 July 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

What an absolute corker of a day today (Thursday).. blue skies, sunshine, ‘fresh’ breeze early on, smooth sparkling ocean surface, non stop waves galore from way out to sea… but…

After watching a few places for a while, it looked like it was a case of

Waves waves everywhere but nary a drop to be had…

or at least only a few drops for the ones lucky enough to be in the right spot. ‘Frustrating’ was the description of a keen person who went in just to get wet.

A change in conditions is expected by the Bureau tomorrow, but the weekend doesn’t look too bad, with improving weather and light winds… and there could even be some waves available.

Surf outlook

Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range at places that get dead South swell, coming up with the S wind and getting messy

Saturday: somewhere around 2, 2+ metres dead South at first then easing back into the 1-2 metre range (with light winds)

Sunday: easing right back to around 1 metre or even less dead South spots

Monday: up very slightly into the 1-2 metre range dead South

Tuesday: dittoish

Wednesday: back a little to around 1 metre or less South/South East

Thursday: something similar.

Have a good one.

Enjoy yourself!

And smile a lot!!
