Hello Friends,
Not a morning for a surf unless you are super keen. The southerly hit just after midnight and it’s been blasting along in the 15-30 kt range since. The now mainly south swell is getting close to the 3 metre mark but it has a very short period so unless you’re prepared to surf in the teeth of the south wind, you won’t be seeing anything like that size. The weather call is for 4-20 mm or rain today and although the wind’s expected to dial back a bit this afternoon, we’re in for 15-20 kts of southerly tomorrow too. I’m keen to see what the Goat says later today about our prospects for the coming week as the next three days don’t look fabulous to me…
Have yourself a good one!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge over southern parts of the coast with a fresh southerly change moving north along the coast during today. A southeasterly airstream will dominate for the coming week as the high pressure system gradually moves into the Tasman Sea later during the weekend.
