Surf forecast issued Thursday 21 September 2023: Seven day outllok for Sydney
TG found the sudden drop in temperature today not to his liking. He found it unpleasant. It “assaulted his sensitive nature” he said. The wind messed up his coat, he couldn’t do this, couldn’t do that without the cold wind interfering…. “I tell you I won’t be putting on my shorts tomorrow morning.”
As if I care. I reminded him that he doesn’t wear shorts.
But to cheer him up I pointed out that the blast from Antarctica looks like being short lived and things should get more pleasant starting from Sunday arvo according to the BoM.
Surf outlook
The wind today (Thursday) brought up some windblown messy 2 metre surf at places open to dead south, but waves weren’t getting into sheltered corners because of the 6 second period.
The outlook is for the swell to ease back tomorrow and continue to be smallish through most of the week.
Flags go up on the beaches from Saturday with the start of school hols. Reminders : Swim between the flags. Watch you don’t drift into the flag area when you’re on a board. And Patrols be considerate of all beach users when placing the Flags. And Everyone Have Fun!
Friday: easing back down through the 1-2 metre range dead South
Saturday: around 1 – 1+ metres East South East
Sunday: ditto South East easing back through the day
Monday: around 1 ish metres or lessEast South East
Tuesday: ditto East
Wednesday: ditto ditto
Thursday: starting to come up with southerly type wind.
