Grey skies, little dribbly waves but not flat

Hello Friends,

A dull grey morning with a light SE onshore and knee to waist high 11-second SE swell on an incoming tide was producing the occasional waist to chest high set wave face for those with the patience to hang out at places like Curly or Long Reef that were seeing energy. Waves looked to be pretty weak and the wind was lumping things up too. So, not great, marginal even, but if you’re keen to get in, it’s not hopeless.

The weekend promises to be rainy and, as the Goat notes, the surf prospects aren’t going to get any better. The models aren’t looking terribly encouraging about the coming week – small, short period wind bump and onshores, basically – so, a fairly typical springtime outlook.

Go well with your Friday everyone!
