Hello Friends,
South change rattled through overnight and has left us with dull grey skies and a steady 15-20 kts of southerly. Swell has faded right away too. It’s still around 2 metres out at sea to our south, but the average period’s dropped to around 7 seconds, so it’s just not doing anything at Dee Why. I doubt you’d be able to catch anything from the point to No Man’s. Well… maybe with a mal you could get a dribbly little knee high bomb set every now and then… fwiw, the tide’s next high at 1220 (it was low at 0615)
Outlook for the back end of the week seems to be losing its luster where the models are concerned. This morning still sees hope of an extended period of east energy from around Thursday, but the average period prediction has decreased from 10 seconds or thereabout to 7-8 seconds. That would mean weak knee to waist with the odd chest at east spots late in the week.
As always, we shall see…
Have yourself a top old Monday one and all!
Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the north coast of New South Wales. A cold front has brought southerly winds to much of the coast while another high centre is located to the west of Tasmania. This high will move to the southern Tasman Sea today where it will drift slowly east over the next day or two. Southeasterly winds along the coast on Monday should tend east to northeasterly in central and southern parts from Tuesday as the ridge pushes to the north coast.
