Dee Why. Small.
Not much going on today in Dee Why No sign of any cyclone in this part of the world. Light nor’easters and about one foot of swell.
Dee Why. Small waves, long waits
It looked a lot better earlier on this morning. I watched the Point for about 15 minutes at 1130 and didn’t see a single wave break. There were two very patient blokes out there who appeared to be in deep contemplation but not even doing any paddling. Through the trees I could see a few […]
Dee Why: Not big, but not flat
Beautiful start to the day with bright sunny skies and a very pleasant 19C at 0800hrs, BOM say it’ll be 15-20 knots NE by afternoon with an small increase in swell to go along. Here’s what Dee Why Point is looking like.
Dee Why: Toasty and offshore. Some small waves.
Dee Why: Lacking energy
Off and on sunny day but the swell is definitely on holidays. Not really anything I can see from my vantage point at 10am. Mostly, it looks like this.
Dee Why. Hazy and small
Not much happening on the Dee Why beachfront this morning apart from the usual gasoline-powered leafblowers. (What is really the point of burning fuel for an hour to blow the same dirt around that you blew around yesterday? Complete waste of resources IMHO…)
Dee Why. Small surf, big wind.
Stiff sou’easter just kicking in now (1030hrs). Surf was small already but now it’s small and messy. Nothing remarkable. No one on the Point. Might be a few folks still in the water further up but it’s desperation stuff only at the moment.
Dee Why. Summer. A few waves. About 12 knots NE.
Magnificent day out today. Cooler that we were expecting but still a perfect spring day. A few small waves on the Point but infrequent. Seems to have dropped a bit since this morning but at least there are no crowds around.
Dee Why: Back to winter
Just a warning to anyone headed for Dee Why Beach today. Roads and Maritime are resurfacing Howard Ave today and say it’ll be closed off to all except resident traffic all day so you may want to plan an alternative route to the beach. Also, Council seems to be setting up for some kind of […]
Dee Why: Magnificent day; a few small waves.
Light offshore, about 23C and a few small waves around–it’s the perfect spring day.
