"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Bring on ’09 ’cause the weather is fine.

If you think you’re having your last surf of the year today you’re wrong. You’ve already had it. No swell to report whatsoever. But a magnificent day at the beach awaits you. Happy New Year to you all and don’t spend too much money ’cause you’ll need it next year.

Flat as it gets.

Not a surfable section from Bondi to Bronte. Water’s warm though. I just got back from “in-law Christmas duties” in Mackay, Nth Q. They have a surf club now at the town’s “beach”. The beach was closed one day for stingers and the next day for crocodiles. And they call it “God’s Country” up there!?!?

Pancakes on the rocks.

Can’t believe it’s the same coastline! It’s flatski! Magic day though so still get wet.

Is anyone at work today?

There were perfect rifles at Bronte reef this morning enjoyed by a large crew. Not as good now, that’s why I can tell you. Still worth a paddle everywhere. Good waves and banks all along Bondi. Tama left is not great but good enough and not crowded. I’ve lived around here for 40 years and […]

Too big for this little puppy.

Nothing is surfable from Bondi to Bronte. 7am saw Rod Kerr being towed in at Bronte for some amazing right hand bombs but without the jet ski, near impossible. The left off Wedding Cake Island was surfable but you really need to know what you are doing. 3pm yesterday……all time! I saved a pommy backpacker by talking […]

Nice swell, dirty water.

A good, chunky swell is getting into Bronte and Tama this morning and although a little full will improve with the tide. Tama outcrop has a crew of only 6, wave size is good, shape too full. Bronte reef is deserted but you can see it’s potential with perfect lines hitting it. Bondi is a lake, too […]

Sick of waiting!

Are we heading for a white Christmas? Two weeks into December and what’s with the weather? When I was a kid………… Not a surfable spot from Bondi to Bronte (except the Internet).

Beautiful and tiny.

Crystal day but no swell. That isn’t stopping a large crew from bobbing around out the back at Bondi though. A few at Bronte reef and a couple trying to body surf Tama’s tiny left off it’s reef too. Just get wet any way!

Goneski!

Bronte- flat, Tama- flat, Maccas- flat, Bondi- 6 inches and crowded.

“Let’s go surfin’ now…..”

Worth a paddle everywhere this morning. Just got out at Maroubra and the nor-easter hit it. Bondi would be a better option from now on. Bronte reef looked close to perfect this morning and I’m sure the 40(!) odd crew out there had fun. Tama had a nice clean left as well but not sure if […]
