The Early-Riser Call for Saturday

This info was compiled last night, so your mileage may vary…

Looks as though we’re set for a warm Saturday. Wind is due to be 10-15 kts from the NW this morning, but to build up into the 20-25 kt range by this afternoon. We’re going to a high of 28(!) sayeth the Bureau, and we might even get a thunderstorm in the afternoon. This little taste of summer temps looks set to be matched with an equally summer taste of little swell. Things went pear-shaped yesterday at around lunchtime when Huey abruptly switched the power off. By the time we were all pushing back from the dinner table, the swell was bumping along from the SE at only about a metre out at sea. Worse, the juice setting was an anemic 7 seconds. If you find a wave today, I tips my lid to ya! I reckon it’ll be just about flat but for the occasional laggard set wave turning up from the SE.

I should have an update at around 0715 just ahead of my weekly radio gig on 702 ABC around 0725.
