09-01-2009 — “It’s a hit, broseff. Actually, more like a slap in the face.” This scathing attack by Laura Burrows at ING Entertainment on Matthew McConaughey’s surf film must be ten times as entertaining as the movie. You decide:
“US, January 6, 2009 – Matthew McConaughey’s Surfer, Dude is nothing more than the stoned ramblings of a wayward MTV spin-off. Just like The Real World, this film is about some pseudo-strangers living in a house together, getting drunk, having casual sex and staring at the ocean trying to have a single inspired thought. Unfortunately, no one ever reaches that point, but there are tons of boobies and even a peek at McConaughey’s pecker to make up for the horrendous oversight for the story, dialogue and acting. . . .”
