Hello Friends,

Huey’s just blipped the throttle a touch overnight for Sydney surfers. The line at Dee Why is just a bit more distinct than yesterday – although weirdly, there wasn’t anyone in the water that I could see from the crow’s nest. Maybe folks have been taking on board the Goat’s latest remarks

The MHL buoy is currently showing our 8 sec period windswell coming from the east at around 1.5 metres on average. But there is some 12 sec component in amongst it and I’m wondering if that’s the more obvious line I’m seeing. MHL’s data doesn’t break out the secondary direction, so we’re left to guess at where the average and peak period components are respectivelycoming from.

Wind is currently out of  the NE at around 10 kts. Next tide is a high just before 0900.

I’ll head out for a closer look shortly and report back later with a few more piccies. There’s a good chance that I’ll also file a vid update while I’m out and about.
