Dropped but not flat

Hello Friends,

Energy levels have decreased over the last 24 hours, but it still looks to me as though there should be some surf options around the place – particularly as the main swell direction has gone more around to the SE. The MHL buoy is currently showing 1.5 metres on average with a period of 10 seconds. Wind is currently W to WNW at 8-10 kts.

Quite a number of folk chasing waist to chest high waves down at the Dee Why super peak.

Outlook is for a very gradual decline today and then the models show the primary direction going more to the east along with a slight increase in period for tomorrow and Monday.

Beyond that, the models have really been fluctuating around over the last few days. At the moment there looks to be the prospect of a potentially juicy but brief south pulse long about Tues afternoon.

Next tide is a low at 0854.
