Out & about Mona-Northy-DY-Curly

Hello Friends,

Went out for a look at the beach situation mid-morning. Started at Warriewood-Mona Vale and can tell you it looked like a pretty good morning to fly your powered hangglider lazily along the beaches. There were little waves in the knee to waist high range showing here and there along the stretch Mona Vale to Warriewood. It was/is a case of pick your peak, lower expectations to the minimum and wait.

There’s a contest going on at Northy, so the biggest and most interesting looking peak I saw this morning is off limits for the likes of you and I. Again though, there were occasional little peaks dotted along the beach immediately south of there, so it wasn’t as though you couldn’t find a little something (see below).

Went through Dee Why on the way to see what was what at Curly. It was pretty small along the stretch. But again, there were a few little peaks being carefully attended by the super keen. Waist high woulda been a bomb.

Over the hill at Curly it was curiously unoccupied in the middle stretch, with small crowds at either end. I reckon at a lower tide (around 4pm) there should be a few peaks showing. Of course, as with elsewhere, it was very minor.

Go well with your day!
