The first hint of what everyone hoped of the swell to come was showing tantalizingly at Dee Why beach Thursday morning. I set up the camera and shot for awhile, went and got a coffee and came back and shot some more… and I’d be back later that afternoon right on dark to get a few more snaps. But that’s another gallery… Lighting conditions were perfect, offshore wind was stiff but not unreasonable and every now and then there were fun little set waves…
