Tide hiding it early?

Hello Friends,

Good news on the wind front this morning. Contrary to the forecast, it’s W-WSW and that’s a good thing for the spots that had waves yesterday because we still have reasonable swell supplies for the early. As of 0730 this morning the swell was dead south at around 3.5 metres with an average period of 9 seconds. Tide is/was the main issue though. The high was at o800, so it could be late morning before things improve. For the early it was very full and fat. People were struggling to get into ’em both at the beach and the point at Dee Why. I daresay it’ll be much the same elsewhere.

Outlook is for the swell to fade steadily through the day, to be into the marginal range tomorrow by lunch time and then it looks like we’re in for tiny to flat conditions for the next week or so.

Have yourself a top old Monday!

Tides: H @0800, L @1400
