Back home to little waves

Hello Friends,

Actually landed back home yesterday, but it was a sorta jet-laggy haze. This morning the brain seems to be coming back up to speed (hooray for coffee!) and it looks like there’s a little windswell energy about. It’s coming mainly from the east according to the MHL buoy. Offshore the average height is around the metre mark and period is flopping along at a windswelly 7 seconds.

A look around this morning should turn up the occasional waist to chest set wave face at the exposed spots. Wind is supposed to be out of the southerly quarters through the day, so I don’t expect the surface conditions to particularly improve at exposed spots.

Looking ahead, it would seem from this morning’s run of the swell models that we’re coming up on a potentially fun little burst of swell from midweekend to mid next week.

Gotta get to those chores, so catchya again soon!
