Hello Friends,

After bucketing all day, the wind backed off inshore in the late arvo. Things were biggish and messy at Curly when I went by around 4pm. No one was in the water and it really looked like a case of why wouldja. Over at Dee Why a small crew were messing around in a little left rip bowl at kiddies whilst 3 or 4 more were having a go at the pretty ordinary offerings at the point. Water looked pretty foul to me, plus I was on a mission, so didn’t bother with it. The MHL buoy was reporting close to 3 metres at 9 seconds from the ESE, but I dunno what was going on, because the biggest wave face I saw was only about 2 metres or so.

Tomorrow morning might be a possibility as the Bureau’s calling for light and variable wind to begin with and with luck the swell should still be sort of sticking around – although it is due to drop a fair amount by lunch. Tide’s high just before 0900.

Go well with your evening and catch you again tomorrow.
