"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Experienced only

Hello Friends,

You wouldn’t bother with Dee Why this morning. Swell’s 3 metres out of the SE at 15 seconds apart. At daybreak the point and the beach were pretty much overwhelmed with all the energy and around 0600 no one was in the water that I could see. There really wouldn’t be any point given the conditions. Eden buoy is showing the same size but with an even longer period, so I’d say the really big stuff will last through most of the day.

The models are all saying that this is the peak for as far ahead as they project.

There should be waves tomorrow, but the swell will be dropping rapidly and at this stage it’s possible that by Monday we’ll be scratching for anything at all.

Your best shot will be those protected south corners, but the long period of this swell means that most beaches will be too lined up to produce anything much.

A day to be careful!
