"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Rainy, breezy and micro early

Hello Friends,

Surfers woke to grey and dripping skies this morning in Sydney. At Dee Why the ocean was looking very small to unsurfable at 0730. Swell was coming from the ESE at nearly 13 seconds apart, but it was less than a metre on average at sea. Wind was around 10 kts from the N to NNW. Tide hits high at 0900 and is back to the low @1445. Rain should clear later this morning.

Swell is showing a little more way down south at Eden and the models are saying we could see an uptick late in the day as a 2 metre or so pulse arrives from the south.

I’m not getting too excited about it though because the average period is projected to be a wind swell-y 8 seconds or so. If we’re lucky, we’ll get something in the waist to chest range at south magnet spots just before dark. It’s set to peak overnight and be dropping back pretty quickly tomorrow morning. The Bureau tells us it’ll be southerly for the early, but getting lighter around the middle part of the day.

It looks as though our next pulse should start developing on Sunday and, with luck, last through to Tuesday morning. At this stage it doesn’t look like being immense or anything, but Monday’s shaping to be interesting according to some of the projections… could be cold with strong offshores though…

Have yourself a top old Wednesday one and all!

Nothing to see folks, move along.
