Monday flatness

Hello Friends,

Once again with the flatness at Dee Why (and pretty much everywhere else on the east coast). You are missing nothing (surfwise) at the beach today and there’s no prospect of improvement for the near term.
The Bureau tells us that the sub-metre NE wind chop will continue until around midday Wednesday when we’re likely to get a south change induced uptick.
But, bleak as the near term outlook may be, this morning’s run of the models points to a steady increase from micro to better than waist high through Saturday as a long period south swell ramps up into (potentially) the overhead range for Sunday and then drops back slowly toward mid-week before possibly pulsing up again…
So keep on smilin’ and have yourself a grand day!

Dee Why continues in a flatness mode.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge across New South Wales. This high will remain semi-stationary over the next day or two. A southerly change is expected to develop along the New South Wales south coast with a stronger cold front on Tuesday, before moving through to the north coast on Wednesday. Another high centre is expected to develop over the Tasman Sea again in the wake of the front.
