"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Chill Day

Hello Friends,

Drizzle and grey skies, ESE wind and around a metre of 13 sec SE swell on a peaking tide adding up to not much at Dee Why this morning. One stalwart was trying to get something happening at the point and there one or two hopefuls getting amongst it in the beachy. But from the look of it, a waist high wave face would be the exception rather than the rule.

From the forecast it would seem that we’re in for tiny surf and rainy conditions for the next couple of days – and it would seem the showery conditions will prevail for the next week. The charts are still showing an East Coast Low forming pretty much on the NSW mid-north coast around Tuesday. It’s projected to intensify as it gradually heads south. Unfortunately this morning’s modelling shows it pretty much hugging the coast through to Thursday. So, it’ll be big but horribly windy the whole time. Here’s hoping we get some SW in the wind mix…

Have yourself a happy old Friday and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is maintaining a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast, while a weakening trough has stalled near Seal Rocks. Most areas will see a return to generally northerly winds later today as the trough continues to decay and the high returns to dominance. Winds will increase during Saturday as a cold front approaches from the west. A southerly change will accompany the the arrival of this front in the south late Saturday, intensifying as it pushes northwards during Sunday.
