Rainy start to Sunday

Hello Friends,

At 0500 we were seeing 2.5 metres of 10-sec east to NE swell offshore and 10-15kts of SSW wind. The morning tide is a high at 0740 and we’ll be back to low at 1340. Skies were grey and rainy as the day got started.

Wind is expected to settle to the south and be 15-20 kts later. Swell should fade across the day although the Bureau has a large and powerful surf conditions warning. Tomorrow should see swell settling more to the east and continuing a steady decline – but it doesn’t look like going flat.

Your correspondent is taking to the road soon to carefully make his way north on a surf hunt. If I can find network access, I’ll post a picture or two (I hope!).

Light levels and cloud too low for a picture from me this morning. Maybe later if it lifts before I head out…
