"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Should be something for you this morning

Hello Friends,

The Bureau says we can expect the waves to go away over the next 24 hours or so, but happily for early risers, there was still some energy for the morning sesh. The MHL buoy was picking up 1.7 metres of 11-sec SSE swell at 0500 and that meant exposed spots were into the chest high range with the odd plus. Wind was westerly early and is expected to be light and variable through the day. Tide hits high at 1100, so, again, early risers were spared the fatness issues of the last week’s earlies.

We’re due for a mostly sunny day with a high of 19 and water is still around that mark as well.

Outlook according to the swell models this morning is for swell energy to fade out to near flat from tomorrow through to around Wednesday when we could see a new south pulse start to fill in and, with luck, to provide us something surfable for the rest of the week. At this stage it doesn’t look like getting big, but Weds-Fri could be into the chest plus range at south magnet spots if the models have it right.
