Not raining yet and there’s swell too

Hello Friends,

There’s a 95% chance of rain, but at 0730 skies were partly cloudy. Wind was out of the north at 10-15kts and swell was coming from the south around to the SE. The MHL buoy was picking up 1.7 metres from 137 degrees at 14.8 seconds. Water temp out at the buoy is still 20C. At Dee Why the surface conditions were somewhat bumpy from a light NE chop, but the swell was getting the into the point at around shoulder high on the bigger ones. It was a similar size along the beach, but the shutdown percentage continues to be high.

Tide is high at 0800 and will be back to low at 1340.

The Bureau says the wind is going to swing around to the NE soon and at the same time they predict the swell from that direction will come up and they’ve issued a hazard warning for big waves.

Thoughts about the outlook later today… have a great morning!
