The morning run revealed clean but mostly shutting down chest plus walls from mid-Steyne nearly to Queensie (wind was getting more into it the further you went up the beach). Curly was Victory at Sea and Dee Why was pretty messy at the point, but definitely catchable and shoulder plus on the biggest ones – you just needed to be keen. Wind was coming more around to the south as I got to Collaroy, so it was straight offshore and sizable at Whiterock. Seemed fairly chaotic out there and I didn’t see anyone giving it a go. Collaroy was more or less micro looking, but there were cute little hoax waves popping up briefly at Brownwater.
