Sunday morning started with waves

Hello Friends,

Sunny skies, light offshores and waist to chest plus sets at 0700. And the Bureau says wind’ll stay NW this morning. Plus, it tells us to expect the SE swell to perk and for the easterly component to hold as well. At 0500 the MHL buoy was showing 1.7 metres SE at a touch under 9 seconds apart. Tide’s low at 0800 and back to high 1350. Should be sunny all day and warm too.

This could be pretty much it for the rest of the week. The models reckon it’ll be close to flat until around Thursday, when the swell will pick up – but only as a consequence of blasting southerlies.

Go well with your Sunday one and all!

Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system with multiple centres lies over New south Wales. This system will move slowly east during the next day or two, although there is considerable uncertainty regarding the position of the individual low centres. This will have a significant influence on wind speed and direction over coastal waters, with many areas becoming quite variable from Sunday through the first half of the coming week. A cold front looks set to move through the region in the second half of the week, re-establishing a more predictable wind regime.
