Chilly and offshore again, but the swell has definitely faded significantly overnight. At places such as the Lugga to Pole stretch, there are still a few shoulder high plus sets in the mix. But the point seems to be maybe waist high on the better ones. Kiddies looks to be an inconsistent waist plus. The MHL buoy was showing 1.5 metres of SE at close to 10 seconds apart. Tide is dropping to the low at 0950.
Wind was offshore early (and not warm!) but the Bureaqu says it’ll go around to the north to NW later as the skies cloud over and maybe even drop some rain on us.
Dunno what’s happened to our wave machine, but if this morning’s call has anything to do with reality the waves this morning are the biggest we’ll see all week. Hope they turn out to be wildly off target – even though winter flat spells are not uncommon. So, fingers crossed!
