Partly cloudy skies, light WNW wind and 1.45 m of 7-10 second south swell (172°) delivering waist to maybe shoulder high sets along the beach and at the point. That said, waves at the point looked to be fairly infrequent but a bit more consistent along the beach. Tide is currently dropping to the low at 1020. It’ll be back to high at 1640. Water is on 19C and our day should be mostly sunny as it gets to a high of 24. Wind will follow a summery pattern of building up this morning from the NE, but not going super hard (10-15kts).
Tomorrow is shaping to be much windier, so you’ll want to be checking it early for the maximum number of options. Thursday and Friday should see more easterly wind swell with cloudy weather and wind from the northern quarters.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Tasmania is extending a ridge north along the New South Wales coast, bringing southeast to northeasterly winds to the region. This system will slowly drift east across the Tasman Sea, to be located near New Zealand by Friday, with coastal winds gradually shifting north to northeasterly. A slow-moving trough of low pressure looks set to bring a southerly change late on Thursday and on Friday.
