Stormy seas

Hello Friends,

Waited around for the rain to back off enough for me to get a picture of Dee Why through the trees. Even from a distance, the ocean looks pretty ordinary. Wind was 25 30 kts as of late morning and the rain was still coming in waves. Speaking of waves, the buoys are showing around 2 metres of 8.5 second easterly junk washing in.
Tomorrow the weather should be sunny again and the wind should be offshore too. The east windswell is set to fade pretty quickly though. Here’s hoping we have some fun ones and that the water isn’t too woofy…
Go well with your Tuesday!

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea is directing strengthening northeasterly winds along the New South Wales coast. Meanwhile, a low pressure trough over the state’s west is deepening and a low is expected to develop and move southeast This low should move to Bass Strait by early Wednesday, delivering a reprieve from strong to gale force east to northeasterly winds, but fresh to strong west to northwesterly winds will persist on Wednesday before contracting to the far south on Thursday morning.
