"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Back to marginal

Hello Friends,

A few exercisers in the water at Dee Why beach this morning, where the waves looked to be in the knee to maybe waist and a bit range on sets. Wind was coming lightly from the WNW and swell at sea was 0.9 m at 8 seconds from the SE (142°). Tide was low at 0800 and will be back to high at 1450. Weather call is for it to be sunny with a high of 23C. Ocean temp is on 18C according to Beachwatch.

Tomorrow could be the low point for the week surfwise according to the swell modeling.  Thursday may see some metre plus, 10 sec ESE energy, then from Friday onward, swell could pick up into the 2+ metre, 8 sec range from the east. The more hopeful models show it building into the 3 m, 10 second range from the SE by mid-next week.

Stay safe everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system near New Zealand will promote generally stable conditions across coastal waters over the coming days, with northerly winds predominating. A weak southerly change may intrude over the far southern coastal waters on Wednesday in association with a front slipping south, while winds across the north are expected to gradually turn east as the high moves further into the Tasman. From Thursday, a frontal system approaching western New South Wales will strengthen northerly winds over southern coastal waters.
