Still micro at Dee Why on Wednesday morning

Hello Friends,

A sunny Wednesday with an expected high of 24C along the beaches. Water is on 18C and looked just beautiful from the RealSurf crows nest this morning. Wind was coming from the west at 10-12 kts and out at sea swell was barely half a metre at 11 seconds from 147° (SE). I couldn’t see anyone in the water when I grabbed this morning’s snaps – which isn’t terribly surprising.

Outlook is pretty much the same as yesterday’s. There won’t be any improvement on the surf front today or likely tomorrow but Friday may see a slight uptick. As always, it’ll be good to see what the Goat thinks tomorrow. I’m hopeful for a little pulse from Sunday into the front half of next week…

Stay safe, hunt down a vaccination and wear your mask!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system east of New Zealand will promote generally stable conditions across coastal waters over the coming days, with northerly winds predominating. A weak southerly change will move over the far southern coastal waters today in association with a front slipping south, while winds across the north are expected to gradually turn east as the high moves further away. From Thursday, a frontal system approaching western New South Wales will strengthen northerly winds over southern coastal waters.
