Little Wednesday lines

Hello Friends,

Light westerlies instead of the expected southerlies as Wednesday morning got started. There were clean little lines in the knee to maybe waist high range on the bigger ones at the south end of the beach. A couple of hopeful types were at the point, but in the time I watched, nothing remotely rideable turned up for them. Swell at sea was 2m at 8 seconds from the south, so I’d expect the surf options to be pretty much limited to the south magnets. Plus, the wind is set to swing to the E-SE later. First tide of the day is a 1.6m high at just before 0900. It was partly cloudy at 0700, but the forecast calls for a 90% chance of a shower later. We should see a high of 21C and Beachwatch is reporting that the sea temp has clicked up to 20C.

Outlook is for the waves to stay small through tomorrow, but there currently looks to be a chance of something interesting for Friday morning. If the hopeful models are right, we could see head high energy from the ESE with light winds for the early session.

Take care, take the mask and have a top old Wednesday.

Weather Situation

A trough developing offshore is extending a southerly change to northern Coastal Waters.
