Paddle practice day

Hello Friends,

Grey skies and only ankle to knee high baby lines at Dee Why on an overcast Friday morning. Out at sea, the swell is 0.6m at 9 seconds from 140° (SE) and wind was 10-13 kts. First tide of the day is a low at 0845. It’ll be back to high at 1515. And hooray, the ocean temp is now a balmy 21C. Time to give the steamer a good fresh water soak before popping it into the closet for the next six months.

Weather could be on the wild side as we head toward a high of 35C and possible gusty afternoon storms this afternoon.

As for the outlook, well, why not cast your eyes over the deep surf wisdom of the Goat?

Have a good one and stay safe!

Weather Situation

A low pressure system over Victoria moves to the southeast and into the Tasman Sea today, then away towards NZ, pushing a trough and front northeast over the NSW coast. High pressure rebuilds from the west on Saturday as the trough clears the northern coastal waters. This high drifts east into the Tasman by Sunday.
