Surf forecast issued Thursday 20 January 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney
Optimism.
Surfers are naturals at it.
Who else would hop on their bikes this arvo with their boards and head to the beach???
Admittedly if they lived aa little bit back from the beach they probably didn’t really notice that there was an onshore blowing its head off or rather blowing the heads off the waves, thrashing them into messy horrible looking things everywhere, showing them who’s boss…oh getting carried away…
They may or may not have known, but they were going anyway!
So if you approach the surf and weather outlook for coming days with the same sort of optimism as those bike riding keen surfers, then, well, you could be disappointed day after day :), but you won’t have given up.
It’ll get good sometime 🙂
Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range South East, with light to strong SE winds pushing behind it either not affecting the quality too much, or making it a complete mess at various times
Saturday: ditto dead South, ditto SE winds
Sunday: around 1-1+ metres East South East, ditto SE winds
Monday: ditto except East, and light winds
Tuesday: ditto, Bureau says NE winds
Wednesday: ditto, E winds
Thursday: increasing in sze form the North East maybe around 2ish metres, with NE wind.
