Wind was WSW at 5-6 kts for the early and swell at sea was 1.4 m at 8 seconds from the SE at 0700. There were a few bods in the water at Northy and down the beach at Surfrider Gardens chasing waist high little peaks. Longy wasn’t seeing much of anything, but down at the Dee Why end, particulary along the beach, there were waist plus peaks on the infrequent sets. Quality was nothing special, but given that we should be back to SE wind soon, it was a little gift for the early risers.
By the time the swampy 1.7 m high tide peaks at noon, the conditions will likely be getting smashed up by the wind.
The wind will continue from the E to SE over then next three days and the gradually more eastish swell will bumble around at about the current intensity. So not an exciting outlook, but maybe a little something for the early. And looking at the longer range models, it should contine that pattern right through the week.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system east of Tasmania extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast. The high will move slowly move east across southern Tasman Sea over the coming days, maintaining moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds along the coast through the weekend. The winds will then tend northeasterly along the southern half of the coast on Monday as the ridge shifts away from the coast to the Tasman Sea.
