Knee plusses but with wind

Hello Friends,

Wind turned SW in the pre-dawn hours and as of 0730 was still blowing from that direction at 8-13 kts. But, says the Bureau, not for much longer. Swell at sea dropped to 1.5 m at 9-10 seconds overnight and as of 0740 was coming from 140° (SE). So, a helpful direction at least. Tide hit a 1.5 m high at 0520 and will be back to low at 1220. Weather is set to be showery with the Bureau telling us we could get anything from 6 to 20 mm over the course of the day. We should see a high of 26.

You know it’s not very good when a SE swell is so feeble that there are only 4 people in the water along the entire length of Curl Curl beach. There were more opitimists at Dee Why, but after watching it for awhile, I had the impression that sets were struggling to make thigh-high. Long waits for gutless dribble I’d say.

As for the outlook, well, it looks like being southerly through the weekend, but with a bit more swell. For the whole story, check out the Mighty Goat’s Words of Wisdom here.

Go well, stay safe and keep on laughin’.
