"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Clean for the early, south later

Hello Friends,

The day started out with partly cloudy skies, close to 2 metres of 8.5 sec SE swell and a light westerly breeze. A very nice combo indeed. First tide of the daylight hours was the 1.7m high at 1035.

Dee Why was very busy, which is hardly surprising on a Sunday morning with fun looking shoulder to head high sets arriving regularly along the beach. The point had a few hopefuls, but it was much less consistent than the beach and not as big on sets.

The clean conditions will gradually disappear as the wind swings SE, but for the hundred or so who got in this morning, I don’t think they’ll be many complaints.

Unfortunately the water is still looking not the best and Beachwatch has posted “pollution possible” warnings for every beach from Palmy to Manly (and it’s worse in the eastern suburbs). The ocean’s on 24C too, so one wonders if that helps the pathogen population density…

The outlook is for a fairly similar situation again tomorrow and perhaps Tuesday as well. In fact, the more hopeful projections show waves in at least the waist high range for the rest of the week.

Go well everyone!
