Hello Friends,
As anticipated, Anzac Day sees a noticeable bump in surf energy as 1.9 metres of 13-second SE swell stacks in. Size is into the head plus range and the point is holding the bigger sets, but the beach isn’t coping well with the long period. Tide is low at 1035 and then back to high at 1645.
As you can see from the pictures, the crowds are up to full holiday strength. Take your patience game if you’re getting in I reckon. Weather is set to be showery as we head to a high of 22C. Water’s clear away from the lagoon entrances and still 23C.
After peaking today, the swell looks like dropping back into the 1-1.3 m range across the rest of the work week. So, it’ll be smaller, but should be surfable most mornings.
Go well with your Anzac Day everyone and stay safe!
Weather Situation
