Another sunny surf morning

Hello Friends,

Thursday morning kicked off with 9-13 kts of westerly wind, clear skies and swell at sea in the 2 metre range at 10 seconds apart from the SE. This combo was delivering fairly consistent shoulder to head plus high sets along the beach and at the point. Tide was coming in to the 1.3 m high at 0810 when I grabbed the snaps.

Weather outlook is fo a sunny day with a high of 19C (same as the water temp). Wind will come around to SW later and swell’s set to dial back as the SE component fades.

Outlook is for the weather to turn rainy again tomorrow but, with a bit of luck, there should be waves of some sort into the weekend. Check back later to see what the Mighty Goat thinks about our prospects and in the mean time, have yourself a top old day!

Weather Situation

A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea is moving off to the southeast with a high pressure system developing over central Australia. This set-up is causing strong southwesterly winds area to weaken today, with hazardous surf conditions about the north easing this morning as well. Winds will increase and tend more southerly on Friday as several weak troughs brush the New South Wales coast.
