The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 26 January 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

What a Rip Roaring Corker of an Ozzie Day!

Perfect beach weather for a good percentage of the population to spend quality time with some sand between their toes. Surf might not have been all time, but water quality, air and water temperature were, and some banks that were unsuitable before were more user friendly.  The drop in swell size and period also gives some down time for those who’ve had multiple surfs all week from the constant swell.

There was enough movement in the water for the kids and others to have a ball at the right tides – even TG got his feet wet and had a paddle. Families socialised and chilled in their shades on the beach… and had Fun!

TG said he didn’t hear anyone say they’d rather be at work or school.

The surf outlook for the days ahead is for something similar, with variations in swell direction along with Summer winds, which is only to be expected this time of year>>>

Friday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range, lower to medium, at places open to dead South

Saturday: ditto..maybe up a little during the day

Sunday: NE wind is expected to push up some Nor East wind waves

Monday: say 1-1+ from North East

Tuesday: dittoish

Wednesday: down a little

Thursday: similar Eastish.

Have Fun!
