"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Back to micro at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

The pictures say it all. Not a person in the water as of 0800 at Lake Dee Why. According to the offshore buoy data there’s 1.3 metres of 9-10 second south swell out at sea, so it wouldn’t surprise if the magnets had a little something. I should be seeing Curly later, so I may update if there’s anything of interest.

Overall it looks as though we should see an improvement to surf prospects by tomorrow and then, if the models have it right, the energy could stick around into the front half of next week.

As for today, it should be sunny with a high of 18 (same as the water). First tide of the daylight hours is the low at 1100.

Go well everybody!

Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure is developing across the northern waters while a series of troughs will clip the southern waters. These troughs will maintain fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds for the coming days. Winds are forecast to ease and tend southerly from Sunday as a high pressure system moves across southeastern Australia.
