The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 29 June 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

TG keeps saying “Hot” anytime anyone says something remotely interesting. I asked why?

He’s very mixed up because he’s been so cold lately, he has started to associate anything that’s Cool, with making him feel bad.

So instead of saying something’s Cool, he’s decided to say It’s Hot (and he doesn’t mean like… That goat over there looks Hot!).

So he says It looks like some more Hot days ahead…meaning Cool days… but not like Hey that’s Cool, just Cool in the temperature sense.

And if that hasn’t confused you, check out the Bureau’s advice for the next couple of Sunny days… “Sun protection not recommended, UV Index predicted to reach 2 [Low]”.

You don’t see that too often round here.

The surf was mixed today, with some swell getting into places open to dead South swell, but practically nothing elsewhere…A period of around 9-10 seconds helped but the size went down through the day, partly from westerly wind and partly cause the size generated by the High over Oz, was shifting more offshore

The outlook>>>>

Friday: around 1 – 1+ metres at dead South spots (W wind)

Saturday: dittoish… (W wind)

Sunday: starting to come up a little in the 1-2 metre rnage dead South spots (with wind to go)

Monday: similar at first but increasing thru the day (oh look the Bureau says Showers.. yum..) and with the increase not lasting

Tuesday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range at dead South spots

Wednesday: easing back to around 1 – 1+ metres South East

Thursday: something similar.

The sun is out, the sky is blue, there’s not a cloud to spoil the view… and the air and water are not warm and it’s windy… but who cares……you might catch a wave if you stay positive…

… Stay Hot!

Translation to Normal Speak: Stay Cool, unless you’d rather be Hot… or if you’d rather be “Hot!”
