Hello Friends,
Another beautiful morning for Sydney. But, sadly, not much of anything for surfers at Dee Why (and likely, everywhere else). Wind was coming lightly from the NW at 0700 and out at sea, the MHL buoy was detecting 1.2 metres of SSE swell at 14 seconds. Given those numbers, I’d expect the best south exposures to produce the odd knee-plus set. Tide was low at 0745, so the incoming push might help improve your odds slightly. Plus the wind’s expected to be light all day.
If you’re wondering what things may look like in the coming week, why not check out what the Mighty Goat has to say…
Go well with your Friday!
Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure is over New South Wales and a cold front is moving across Tasmania. The cold front is expected to bring a moderate southerly to the south during Friday with south to southeast winds persisting along most of the coast on Saturday. Another high should move into the southern Tasman Sea in the wake of the front maintaining a ridge towards the north coast. Winds in the south are expected to tend back to the northeast as a result.
