The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 24 August 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Today the MHL buoy showed a 16 second 1 metre South South East swell, which meant it was pretty small to nothing at places that weren’t open to dead South, while there were some waves of sorts at other spots.

Several Large, with a Capital L, whales have been seen heading south to Antarctica over the past few days, easily spotted by their Large splashes, about 5-10 ks out. More to come>> The ocean always provides something to look at even when there aren’t waves.

The Surf Outlook looks suitable for More Looking For Whales>>

Friday: around 1 metre or less at places open to due South

Saturday: dittoish

Sunday: ditto

Monday: and again

Tuesday: ditto

Wednesday: variety! around 1 metre or less South East/ North East

Thursday: ditto North East.

Our Roaming North America correspondent has been standing outside Joe Biden’s beach house hoping to see him. Haven’t had the heart 🙂 to tell him he’s apparently on the other side of the country at the moment.

Clean up your binoculars and observe Nature in all its glory.
