"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Skip-able Thursday

Hello Friends,

No one in the water at Dee Why this morning, which is not a surprise given the gloomy conditions, SSE wind and minimal swell energy.

The wind isn’t going to back off today or tomorrow, but there might possibly be an opening for the dawn patrol on Saturday when the wind slackens overnight. By then, the Bureau tells us, the swell should be around the 2-3 metres out of the south. According to the swell models, the swell could have a SSE tilt with periods around the 10 second mark. Interesting. I wonder what the Goat will think about this when he drops his latest predictions later.

Go well!

Weather Situation

A strong high pressure system moving across the Bass Strait between today and Friday will strengthen south to southeasterly winds along the coast, while a transient low pressure system developing off the north coast on Friday reinforces southerly winds and swells before heading to the Tasman Sea during the weekend.
