Surf forecast issued Thursday 30 March 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney:
Today was a bit confusing and a little disappointing to most punters..
First the weather looked great out the window but the windchill had TG thinking it’s got an Autumn feel to it (I told him it is Autumn).
Then the waves – looked ok but on closer inspection a lot looking nasty on the low tide – which gave a good impression of being an all day low tide.
Nevertheless these appealed to the unwary and the young who think that they bounce when they break in half after hitting the sandbank.
Being wary, TG found to his disappointment that even a swim involved the same degree of annoying thumping under some sizeable sets every now and again, distributing sand everywhere you could think of.
Still it was a nice day and good to socialise checking the surf.
The week’s outlook may have some more confusing bits, so just bend with the wind grasshoppers, and go with the flow, chill out and enjoy.
Friday: maybe starting to come up a little at places open to dead South, say somewhere in the 1-2 metre range, from a Low way down south off Tassie that’s moving away quickly, but has some punch to it
Saturday: something similar
Sunday: dittoish
Monday: down a bit say 1-1+ metres South/East
Tuesday: around 1-1+ metres North East
Wednesday: up a little maybe, South/North East
Thursday: maybe in the 1-2 metre range East North East
Watch out for the thumpers.
