Hello Friends,

One thing I can state with a modicum of certainty is that Dee Why is just about zippo. One chap was puttering about just off the beach on his stand up paddleboard, whilst a couple others were up the beach on mals.

I reckon you just might find a little tiny something at spots that were showing yesterday around this time because the settings are just about the same again, ie 8 second period east windswell of about a metre. You might occasionally spot a larger set though as the Manly MHL buoy is also showing some 12 second stuff.

We’re in for a warm day (the call is for 30-32 across the Sydney region) and along the coast, the wind is set to pick up from N-NW through the morning and be pushing along at 20-30 kts this afternoon. Bad as that is for the little windswell struggling to get ashore, it will be worse when a west change of similar strength arrives late today.

All the indicators point to tomorrow being flat. And, it doesn’t look as though we’ll have any relief next week either. All the models are calling for short period, small to flat conditions over the next 5 days for pretty much the entire east coast. Blergh.

Oh well, it is spring…

Have yourself a top old day!
