"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Summer’s here. (At least for today)

Standing on the balcony in Dee Why this morning, you’d swear it was mid-January: The sun is sparking on the water like it only does in mid-summer, there’s already a light northerly breeze blowing at 0845, and it’s hot. 29C already. Forecast says 35C top today, maybe an afternoon southerly buster like in January and a possible thunderstorm. But the thing most suggestive of mid-summer is of course the lack any substantial semblance of waves. Tiny NE swell 7 sec and 1.5m means there’s only a tricke making it in to the beach. Good day for working or catching up on that stack of reading, or maybe a snooze. Might find a surfable wave at North Narra, but beyond that, not much hope.

Nothing really interesting in Sydney nor up or down the coast for the long weekend. Thunderstorms are forecast for all three days.
