"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Aw, it’s only 2x overhead…

Hello Friends,

It’s not small. It’s definitely not suitable for beginners or even many intermediates. But it’s not into the four metre range with 18 second periods either. According to the latest data from the Sydney MHL buoy it’s south at three metres with a meaty 14 second period. There seems to be some 15 second stuff in there as well so these are in no way weak and small conditions!

Dee Why was well populated from the get-go this morning, so abandon any hopes of getting it to yourself. 🙂

Bomb set wave faces were hitting the 2x overhead mark and it was lightly offshore and very clean under sunny skies. Your correspondent woke up without a voice this morning, so he therefore won’t be adding to the crowd pressure. Instead, it’ll be out with the long lens to record some of the fun for a future gallery or two.

Tide is low at 0920 and the high hits just before dusk at 1600.

Swell is supposed to weaken as the day goes along and could be a touch below the 2 metre mark. But fret not kiddies, it’s set to gear up again into the 3-4 metre range by tomorrow afternoon and to kick along pretty nicely right through lunch time on Tuesday.

Go well and maybe see you out there
